Village Halls in general require a constant effort to keep their buildings up to date and ready for people to use and enjoy. For Wetheringsett, this is even more of a challenge due to the age and style of the Hall. We won’t say its like painting the Forth Road Bridge, but there is always something to be done to keep on top of repairs and general wear and tear of the structure.
We have been very pleased with the response to and use of the Food Trucks and these have added to our funds and will continue to do so as long as they are well used. We are thankful to both The Mobile Pizza Co and Belle’s Kitchen for their support. We hope they will be coming back to us on a regular basis so we can continue to enjoy their delicious offerings!
2026 is going to be a great year for Wetheringsett Village Hall with many events being considered and planned already to help with our fundraising efforts. We can’t wait to share these with you once they are at a stage where we can!
One of the Key Events will be the Wetheringsett Village Summer Fete, which will take place in June. We are aiming to make this a really big day out for everyone. It is important to realise that this is not just a Village Hall event, but includes Wetheringsett Church of England Primary School and All Saints Church. An independent committee has been set up with representatives from each organisation to make the plans and deliver a fantastic Fete for everyone to enjoy.
We need to continually raise funds and support for the general maintenance and upkeep of the Hall. This can be by monetary donations or by volunteering to carry out some of the work that is required (for example, painting, gardening, carpentry, and other small repairs).

We have also made provision for some advertising squares on each page of our website, these are perfect for people to promote their businesses, be they large or small, with very little outlay and a growing audience. Why not have a look at the details of how you could take one of these sponsor spaces?
In addition to the ongoing things that need to be carried out, we also have in mind a few special projects. We plan to hold specific events to raise funds for these projects and the first of these is a project to convert an old storage room into a Bar to be used during future events, rather than having to outsource this each time.
