The Village Hall has a long-standing relationship with the local Primary School, a partnership that dates back to the Hall’s opening in 1921. For over a century, the Hall has been a valuable resource for the school, hosting everything from daily school dinners and P.E. lessons to performances like plays and nativities.
Currently, the school uses the Hall every Thursday and Friday. This space is used for school plays, class assemblies, performances, PE, (especially gymnastics) and special events.
The school sometimes uses the Hall for lunches and special lunches which include Mother and Fathers’ Day lunches when the children are joined by members of their families.
The Hall has also been used for themed days such as Anglo Saxon and WW2 History Days. Theatre groups also sometimes perform to the children.
The Hall is an invaluable resource to the school as their building is so small in size there are no larger spaces unoccupied by classrooms for larger group activities.
