Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone — the first wedding anniversary of Harry and Eleanor!
Their beautiful ceremony was one of the memorable weddings held right here at Wetheringsett Village Hall, and we’re so proud to have been part of their big day.
Time really does fly — it feels like just yesterday we were setting up for their celebration!
Wishing them continued love, laughter, and happiness for many years to come.
Although I don’t live in the village myself, my parents do, and I also work at Wetheringsett Manor School, so when planning Noah’s 3rd birthday, the Village Hall immediately came to mind.
I got in touch with Sue, the Bookings Officer, who was incredibly helpful. She provided all the details I needed to consider the hire and even arranged to meet up for a look around the Hall to make sure it would suit everything I had planned.
There was plenty of space for the 20 or so children expected, and enough tables and chairs to spread out for the parents who were staying to keep an eye on their little ones. Another fantastic feature was being able to play music from my phone via Bluetooth through the Hall’s speakers.
With the hire sorted, I arranged for the bouncy castle and provided a copy of the insurance to make sure everything was in order.
On the day of the party, I accessed the Hall using the code Sue had given me, set everything up, and let Nana and Gramps bring over and set up the buffet.
The kitchen was ideal for last-minute preparations, including a fridge and a freezer (making storing drinks and party food so much easier) and everything you’d need for a party food prep.
I decorated the Hall, setting up the Birthday Table with balloons and banners. Originally, I had hoped to make use of the lovely outside area for Noah’s summer birthday, but as classic Suffolk weather goes, it rained. Luckily, the bouncy castle fit perfectly inside, so the party went ahead without any issues.
Noah and his friends had a brilliant time, bouncing and playing to their hearts’ content, and I’m sure they all slept well that night after running ragged all afternoon!
