We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been officially granted our Small Society Lottery registration! This means we are officially ready to launch our exciting new monthly online lottery – a fantastic way to support our community while giving you the chance to win cash prizes.
We plan to hold the first draw on 17 August 2026, as long as enough members have signed up and set their standing orders in time.
As a reminder, this brand-new monthly online lottery is designed to keep our historic Hall thriving while giving you the chance to win a cash prize every single month.
How it Works:
The Stake: A single “Wetheringsett Windfall” entry costs just £5 per month, or £60 annually. Membership is open to all residents and friends of the village aged 16 or over.
The Split: 50% of all ticket sales goes directly toward the upkeep and improvement of Wetheringsett Village Hall. The remaining 50% is returned to the village as cash prizes.
The Draw: This will take place at the monthly meeting of the Village Hall Committee (usually the third Monday of each month). Our Treasurer will have confirmed the list of paid-up numbers for the month. A verified Random Number Generator (usually WheelOfNames.com) will be used to select the winners. The 2nd prize will be drawn first followed by the 1st prize “Windfall“.
Prize Announcement: Winners will be notified directly by a Village Hall Committee member via phone or email. To celebrate our winners and maintain transparency, all winning names will be published in the Monthly Parish Magazine, on the Village Hall website and on the Wetheringsett Village Hall Facebook page.
